Byron was born August 29, 1881 in Van Meter, Iowa. Byron helped to establish the Nebraska homestead, although he settled down in Iowa. He courted Eve Margaret Forrett, born December 13, 1890. They were married on November 5, 1902. They had six children - four boys and two girls. Byron died July 20, 1944 and is buried in Booneville Cemetery. Eva died may 5, 1976 and was buried along side her husband.
